📜 ""Those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts""
Psalm 15:2 (NLT)
📋 God's children ought to live lives that are distinct from that of the people of this evil world. As people who worship holy God, Christians should be described as "those who lead blameless lives and do what is right, speaking the truth from sincere hearts." We need to lead virtuous lives-lives that are above reproach.
This kind of life calls for making some godly choices, such as deciding to always do what is right in dealing with people in our homes, at our workplaces or marketplaces, etc. It also calls for choosing truth over falsehood-preferring to always speak the truth in love and from a since heart.
The need to practise godly living is particularly crucial as we await the unannounced second coming of our Lord Jesus. That is why the Apostle Peter advises us to live holy and godly lives, making every effort to be found living peaceful lives that are pure and blameless in his sight" (2 Peter 3:11,14).
Similarly, the Apostle Paul admonishes us as God's people to pursue righteousness and a godly life, along with faith, love, perseverance, and gentleness" (1 Timothy 6:11). Practising godly living should be an intentional choice that every believer makes. That is the only way we can live a life worthy of our holy God who saved us and called us to be holy.
