📜 ""The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing.""
Psalm 23:1 (NIV)

📋 God is our good shepherd who provides all our needs. In this Psalm, David celebrates God as his caring shepherd: "The LORD is my shepherd, I lack nothing." He testifies that this good shepherd provides all his needs. He meets our physical needs such as food and drink: "He makes me lie down in green pastures, he leads me beside quiet waters." He also meets our emotional needs: "he refreshes my soul." (v.3). When we feel emotionally down, God strengthens us and comforts us (v. 4).

He gives us victory over our fears because he is always with us to protect us. So, David confidently declares: "Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me .." (v.4).

In addition, our good shepherd provides our spiritual needs David affirms, this: ". He guides me along the right paths for his name's sake" (v.3). God guides us so that we can follow his righteous ways.

He also fights for us and gives us victory over our enemies so that we can enjoy his abundant blessings: "You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies. You anoint my head with oil; my cup overflows" (v. 5).

Finally, David extols God's goodness and love in this life and expresses his confidence about eternal life in heaven.
