📋 The world operates according to various systems and patterns, many of which conflict with God's standards for believers. These worldly patterns often contradict God's will For example, while the world may view polygamy as acceptable, the Bible disapproves of polygamous marriage for believers.

Our guiding scripture instructs us, "Do not conform to the pattern of this world but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.' God's word teaches and directs us on how to live in this world, and we must strive to align our lives with his teachings rather than the patterns of the world, including the traditions or cultures of our places of origin.

Before undertaking any action, we should measure it against scripture to ensure that it aligns with God's word. The more we rely on scripture to discern right from wrong, the more our minds will be renewed, allowing us to avoid the traps set by the world that could lead us to conform to its ways.

To make relying on God's word easier, we must read meditate, and possibly memorise some scriptures. If the word is internalised this way, we can always bring it up when faced with any situation.
