👉🏼 (Reading: Psalm 20:1-9)

📜 ""May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem.""
Psalm 20:2 (NLT)

📋 All of us need help! We need help when we lose our jobs. We need help when we are sick. We need help when we are in a financial crisis. We need help for so many different reasons.

Often, we tend to look to people for help; we expect help from our parents, siblings, children, relatives, friends, co-workers, etc. Sometimes, these people offer some help, but at other times, they fail us because of their limitations as humans.

That is why David prayed: "Give us help from trouble. For the help of man is useless" (Psalm 108:12, NKJV). But the good news is that there is someone who doesn't, can't and won't fail us-God our faithful Father.

In today's anchor text, David prays to this dependable God: "May he send you help from his sanctuary and strengthen you from Jerusalem." He is the One we should always look to for help. He may decide to use people to help us, but ultimately, our help comes from him.

The Psalmist affirms this in Psalm 121:2: "My help comes from the LORD who made heaven and earth!" When in trouble. whom do you usually go to for help? Remember to go to God in prayer and ask for his help in your times of need. He will keep his promise to help us: "... I will strengthen you and help you .."' (Isaiah 41:10).

Trust God to help you.
