👉🏼 (Reading: 2 Peter 2:16-24)

📜 ""For if, after they have escaped the defilements of the world through the knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, they are again entangled in them and overcome, the last state has become worse for them than the first.""
2 Peter 2:20 (ESV)

📋 What kinds of worldly pleasures still hold you captive? Is it pornography, fornication, stealing, jealousy or reckless speech? It is sad how many Christians and leaders are reportedly caught in various sinful scandals. It is expected of us to live Christlike lives.

The world is usually shocked when Christians are caught doing what they have been telling the world to repent of. Satan has made a nice trap for disobedient people and many children of God's Kingdom are being caught by it.

When the people of the world suffer for their wrongs, Christians are not to suffer the same things. It is such a sad state of the Church which Peter addresses here. They have known the truth but are always led astray by lust.

If our adversaries set traps with sinful baits, shall we be caught in those traps? The Apostle Peter describes the state of those who know the truth but violate it. He said, "the last state has become worse for them than the first". You must not go that way.
