📋 It is said that those who fail to plan, actually plan to fail. In every plan, well-mapped out strategies spell out how the plan should be executed. This was the case of Joshua in taking down Ai. They had earlier lost to this small city compared to Jericho just because Achan had kept the accursed objects of the previous conquest.
But after Achan was dealt with, God commanded Joshua to go ahead and destroy Ai. But they needed to put strategies in place to make their plan to defeat Ai happen. The Lord commanded that one group should lie in wait against the city while another group faced Ai headlong pretending to be losing the fight by fleeing.
This would lure the enemies out and then the group laying ambush would destroy the city behind the army of Ai. To be successful in every endeavour and win life's battles, we all need to go to God to help us in our planning and strategy.
Today, we may not hear the audible voice of God speaking to us, but whenever we pray, he drops into our spirit, the ideas for planning and strategizing.
We can't do things haphazardly in life.
To win, let's talk to God to help us plan and strategize.
