📜 ""The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile ..""
Psalm 14:1(NIV)

📋 There are certain people who are not only unbelievers, but fools as well. These are the people David describes in today's focus verse: "The fool says in his heart, 'There is no God.
They are corrupt, their deeds are vile .." The condition of the foolish unbeliever is very pathetic. The Apostle Paul describes them in Ephesians 4:18: "They are darkened in their understanding and separated from the life of God because of the ignorance that is in them due to the hardening of their hearts."

In their ignorance they say, "There is no God." This foolish thinking is reflected in what thev say and do. David says, "They are corrupt, their deeds are vile."' In their ignorance, they say, "God will never notice; he covers his face and never sees ... He won't call me to account" (Psalm 10:11,13). Therefore, they have given themselves over to every kind of sin.

They give and receive bribes; they steal; they lie and defraud, etc. Unknown to them, God will one day call these foolish evildoers to account for their wickedness (Psalm 10:15). As believers, we should not live like them.

Paul admonishes us in Ephesians 5:15-17: "Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise ... do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is." As a believer, say "No" to the sinful ways of foolish unbelievers.

🔑 Key Lesson: Only a fool can say, "There is no God."

🛐 Meditation and Prayer: Father, give me wisdom so that I won't be a foolish Christian.
