👉🏼 (Reading: Galatians 2:20-21)
📜 ""I have been crucified with Christ, and I no longer live, but Christ lives in me. The life I now live in the body, I live by faith in the son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for me""
Galatians 2:20 (NIV)
📋 In these verses of scripture, the Apostle Paul reminds us of the radical transformation that occurs when we accept Christ into our lives. To be 'crucified with Christ' means to identify with Christ's death and resurrection, dying to our old sinful nature, and receiving a new life empowered by Christ through faith.
The moment you decide to give your life to Christ, what you are communicating is that you are ready to lay down your old way of life to embrace a new life that is given and lived by faith in Jesus Christ. By this, you no longer live to please yourself but to please the one who died for you and gave his life for you.
We can live for Christ by first of all renewing our mindset to recognize that we have become new creations in Christ-the old life has passed away and a new life has begun. Next, we need to learn to trust God each day by learning his word and depending on it.
Finally, we need to allow Christ's word and the power of his Spirit to transform every part of our lives to reflect this new life.
Are you living for Christ or for yourself?
