1 Corinthians 11:25 (NIV)
📋 Today's Bible text reminds us of the significance of the Holy Communion, which is the act of remembering Christ's sacrifice on the cross for us believers.
On the night when he was betrayed, Jesus instituted this powerful sacrament to help his followers never forget the depth of his love for them and the price he had to pay to reconcile them to God.
The bread he shared symbolizes his body, broken for us and the cup represents his blood, shed for the forgiveness of our sins. Every time we partake in the Holy Communion, we proclaim the death, resurrection and return of Jesus Christ.
We remember that his sacrifice was not just a historical event, but a personal act of love for each one of us. Communion is also a reminder for us to live in gratitude to what Christ did for us and to proclaim the good news of his salvation until he returns.
Christians need to remember the sacrifice Christ made with his life for them so that they can constantly examine their hearts and renew their commitment to live for him.
