👉🏼 (Reading: Luke 15:11-32)

📜 ""But while he was still a long way off, his father saw him and was filled with compassion for him; he ran to his son, threw his arms around him and kissed him""
Luke 15:20 (NIV)

📋 In the parable of the prodigal son, Jesus tells the story of a young man who asked his father for his share of the inheritance and left home to squander it on reckless living. Eventually, when famine struck, he found himself feeding pigs and longing for the food they ate.

At this point, he realised how far he had fallen and decided to go back home. My question to you this day is, "How far have you gone away from God, your Father?" The prodigal son went far away from his father, physically and spiritually. His actions, driven by selfish desires, led him to a place of despair. Yet, in the depths of his brokenness, he remembered his father's love and decided to return. His journey back signifies not just a return to his physical home, but a spiritual return to grace.

Sometimes our desires, choices and impatience can lead us far away from God's presence, but there is always a way back to the Father. Remember, God's love is unwavering and when we return, broken and repentant, he runs to meet us with open arms, welcoming us back into his family.

How far do you feel you have gone away from God?
Make the decision today to return to God.
