Philippians 4:11 (NLT)
📋 God, our Father, is our provider; he knows how to meet all our needs. As God's chosen people, we should not depend on the economy of our country for our needs to be adequately met. Rather, we should look up to God to take care of our needs. But this does not mean that we should idle around, hoping that manna will fall from heaven for us.
No, God wants us to work hard. Also, he wants us to be cheerful givers. Once we are committed to working and giving willingly, we are assured of this: "God will generously provide all you need. Then you will always have everything you need and plenty left over to share with others" (2 Corinthians 9:8, NLT).
There is even a greater guarantee for the abundant supply of our needs. When we seek first God's Kingdom and his righteousness, God will surely supply our needs (Matthew 6:33).
In today's reading, the Apostle Paul testifies about the financial support the Philippian church gave him in his missionary work. So he assures them: "And this same God who takes care of me will supply all your needs from his glorious riches, which have been given to us in Christ Jesus."
