📋 Faith, hope and love are enduring attributes that believers should strive to nurture. The Apostle Paul was full of praises for the Thessalonian believers. He always thanked God for them for the admirable qualities they exhibited.
They put their faith into practice by working for the Lord. Faith without works is dead. We too must demonstrate our faith in Christ by way of devoting our energy to good deeds and serving our Lord. The love of the Thessalonians prompted them to labour for the Lord and his people. They must have devoted a lot of time to working hard in the Lord's vineyard.
We too need to demonstrate our love for God and people by investing our time in working hard for the Lord. So, heed Paul's exhortation in 1 Corinthians 15:58: "Always give yourselves fully to the work of the Lord, because you know that your labour in the Lord is not in vain."
Paul also thanked God for the believers' "endurance inspired by hope in our Lord Jesus Christ." Knowing the glory that awaited them, the Thessalonians endured severe suffering. We too must be willing to endure suffering for Christ because we have a blessed hope in him.
