📋 People worldwide desire to be wealthy, and there is nothing wrong with wanting to become rich. However, many people pursue wealth at all costs, often resorting to dubious means, just to become rich. This means of acquiring wealth can be crooked, perverse, wicked and fraudulent in nature.
Wealth acquired through such means is bad. Ultimately, wealth gained by these evil means is vanity upon vanity. In this context, vanity represents what is worthless, more particularly because it lacks eternal blessings. Thus, acquiring money through channels not approved by God is ultimately unacceptable to him and does not bring peace.
As stated in Proverbs 13:11, "Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase." If we obtain wealth through vanity, it will eventually diminish. These unexplainable financial losses, come with various unforeseen problems.
The truth is that God has a way of "fighting' those who make money through ungodly means. It is prudent to get rich by godly means. The way to do this is to labour in accordance with God's will-by hard work, prudence, honest dealings, etc. always have God's protection by earning it through the right means.
Let godliness be your guiding principle in wealth creation.
