📋 In the natural world, our outward appearance is constantly changing with time. For example, this happens when an insect changes from larva through pupa to the adult. These transformations occur internally in each case until the insect is fully developed.
Similarly, Christians are transformed from stage to stage as they live in Christ. Hence, our focus verse says, we "... are changed into the same image from glory to glory, ...". This takes place as we read and study the word of God, which serves as the mirror reflecting the glory of the Lord as we are transformed into the image of Jesus Christ.
The Bible reveals Jesus' likeness. The more we immerse ourselves in it and allow it to permeate our being and persuade us, the more our inward man changes, enabling us to progress from glory to glory. We can be transformed into the image of Christ and be more like him with regards to our prayer life, commitment to holiness compassion, gentleness, obedience, humility and godliness.
Scripture says,"... though our outward man perish, yet the inward man is renewed day by day" (2 Corinthians 4:16, KJV).
Are you being transformed into the image of Christ?
Keep your focus on Jesus.
