👉🏼 (Reading: 2 Thessalonians 3:1-5)

📜 ""And pray that we may be delivered from wicked and evil people, for not everyone has faith. But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one.""
2 Thessalonians 3:2-3 (NIV)

📋 Evil forces and evil people are bent on harming us, but as God's children. we don't have to be afraid because God will surely protect us from these evil forces.

In today's focus verse, the Apostle Paul gives the Thessalonian believers this assurance: "... the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one." Some wicked and evil unbelievers work for Satan; they try to bring misfortune and misery into our lives.

But they cannot harm us because the One who lives in us and watches over our lives is greater than all of them (1 John 4:4). The faithfulness of our heavenly Father is the guarantee of our safety. Paul confidently declares: "But the Lord is faithful, and he will strengthen you and protect you from the evil one."

We can count on the Lord to protect us from the devil because he is the all-powerful and faithful God. However, we have a part to play in our safety: We need to pray and ask God to rescue us from evil forces and evil people.

Don't be afraid of Satan and his evil agents: God will faithfully protect you as you take refuge in him and ask him to rescue you.

🔑 Key Lesson: God protects his people from the evil one.

🛐 Meditation and Prayer: Lord, deliver me from the evil one and his wicked forces.
