2 Thessalonians 1:6-7 (NIV)
📋 God's children are going through so many trials. Some of these troubles come from wicked and evil people who are determined to make our lives miserable by harassing us in various ways.
They attack us spiritually and sometimes physically; they conspire against us; they set traps for us; they discriminate against us; they block our chances of making progress in life, etc.
We must refuse to be discouraged by these persecutions because relief is on the way for us who cling to our faith in Christ. This is the word of encouragement for us from the Apostle Paul In today's focus verse, he writes: "God is just: He will pay back trouble to those who trouble you and give relief to you who are troubled and to us as well."
Our just God will do what is just: He will give us total release from all these trials and punish the evil people who harass us. When? Paul declares: "This will happen when the Lord Jesus is revealed from heaven in blazing fire with his powerful angels." Great relief will come to us on the day Jesus "comes to be glorified in his holy people" (v.10),.
Don't give up; relief is on the way.
