👉🏼 (Reading: Daniel 3:16-26)
📜 ""If it be so, our God whom we serve is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand, O king.""
Daniel 3:17 (KJV)
📋 ""Throughout the Bible, we read about God's ability to deliver his children from all manner of adversities that came their way. One such instance is captured in today's focus verse:"… our God … is able to deliver us from the burning fiery furnace, and He will deliver us out of your hand."
This bold statement is a reaction from Shadrach. Meshach and Abednego to King Nebuchadnezzar's angry threats to throw them into the fiery furnace if they refused to worship the golden image he had set up.
From the focus passage, we learn that because of their confidence in God's ability to save them, the King's threats couldn't cause them to compromise their faith and personal principles. Without hesitation they boldly expressed their loyalty to the one true God. God had given them the courage to do the right thing and they were completely confident that he would protect them (Psalm 56:4).
They knew that God's power to deliver them was greater than any power man could use to destroy them. Their faith was unconditional. Having faith doesn't mean we will always be spared from trouble. But if we stand strong and boldly live for God in this life, he will stand with us both now and forever.
Have confidence in God's ability to deliver you from adversities.
