📜 ""And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high""
Luke 24:49 (ASV)

📋 Have you received the promise of the Lord, the Holy Spirit? The promise is that when the Holy Spirit comes, he will lead us into all truth and endue us with power from on high.

The Lord said, "And behold, I send forth the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city, until ye be clothed with power from on high" Luke 24:49 (ASV).

On the day of Pentecost, this promise was fulfilled and it changed all the disciples. For us believers, receiving the Holy Spirit is a matter of faith in Jesus and in his word. Jesus told his disciples to wait until they receive the Holy Spirit. In their waiting, they fasted and prayed in preparation for his coming.

We must also prepare ourselves in readiness for him to fill us. We must do this through prayer and fasting. Even after his first in-filling, we must from time to time ask him to fill us the more. We need to be expectant always for the Holy Spirit to infill us.

This expectation keeps us prepared in holiness for him to dwell in our hearts. This indwelling is his supernatural presence which is accompanied with his power and gifts to become faithful witnesses.
Ask him to fill you afresh today.

🔑 Key Lesson: The Holy Spirit is Jesus' Promised Comforter, who gives us strength to live victoriously.

🛐 Meditation and Prayer: Holy Spirit, fill me afresh today. Enable me to do your works with power.
