James 5:17-18 (NIV)
📋 ""Many servants of God offered prayers that God answered in the Bible. Elijah was one of such His prayers are cited in our focus verse as those done out of righteousness so earnestly that they produced the intended results."
This suggests that he had faith that his prayers would accomplish much, even to the point of God's intervention in nature's course. He believed that prayer by a righteous person does change things (v. 16).
Faithful prayer will make a difference. Our prayers and faith in God cause many good things to happen that would not otherwise happen (Exodus 32:9-14). We ought to live righteously like Elijah and commit to fervent prayer, always believing that God hears us.
Prayer becomes an earnest one when the person praying does it with faith. conviction and assurance that God will answer. This is dependent on our relationship with the Lord. A prayer of faith as the text says, "..will save the one who is sick, and the Lord will raise him up".
Fervent faith-based prayer can do many things You must learn to live a righteous life that will make your prayer effective.
Is God pleased with yow as he was with Elijah and other righteous men and women?
Live righteously and always pray earnestly.
