👉🏼 (Reading: Psalm 27:1-5)

📜 ""The LORD is my light and my salvation; who shall I fear? The LORD is the stronghold of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?.""
Psalm 27:1 (ESV)

📋 We live in a world full of wicked, vile and self seeking people. Some of these people thrive on making others afraid. The Psalmist remembers that wicked people will come against him but he also remembers that the Lord is his strength and salvation.

He says, "Though an army encamp against me, my heart will not fear. Though war arise against me, even in this I will remain confident" (Verse 3). Remaining confident in the midst of fearsome opposition and threats is a faith driven act.

The knowledge that God is more powerful than anything that comes against us, calms our hearts in uncertain times. We have no need to be afraid when we are always walking in the presence of the almighty God.

The Psalmist tells us why he has no one to be afraid of: "Because he will hide me in his shelter in the day of trouble. He will conceal me in the hiding place of his tent. He will set me high upon a rock" (Verse 5).

Are you abiding in the secret place of the Most High God?
You have nothing to fear.
