Leave a Legacy and a Plan

Be a Worthy Role Model
The image of the disciples looking up intently as Jesus ascended into the sky served as a powerful metaphor for the natural inclination of children to look up to their fathers. Children are keen observers, and they will inevitably copy their fathers' behaviors—both good and bad. Fathers, therefore, are urged to be conscious of their actions, words, and character, striving to be positive examples so their children have someone worthy to emulate. This calls for integrity, humility, and a consistent demonstration of the values they wish to instill in the next generation. A father's life, in essence, becomes a living lesson.
Keep Your Promises
Jesus promised to return, offering His followers not just hope, but also joy and the promise of good things to come. This divine reliability sets a benchmark for earthly fathers. Rev. Ameko highlighted the importance of fathers being reliable and trustworthy. They should not make empty promises to their families—"promising heaven and earth" but failing to deliver. Instead, fathers must build genuine trust and hope by consistently following through on their commitments. This builds a secure environment where children feel loved, valued, and confident in their father's word, fostering a strong, unbreakable bond built on integrity.
The sermon concluded by acknowledging the immense weight and difficulty inherent in being a man and fulfilling the heavy responsibilities of fatherhood. Recognizing the struggles and sacrifices, Rev.
