📖 THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

📖 THE RESURRECTION OF JESUS

👉🏼 (Reading: Matthew 28:1-10)

📜 "He is not here; he has risen, just as he said"
Matthew 28:6 (NIV).

📋 Easter Sunday is a joyous and triumphant day in the Christian calendar. It marks the resurrection of Jesus from the dead, signifying his victory over sin and death. The resurrection of Jesus is not just a historical event, but the cornerstone of the Christian faith.
Without it, there would be no victory over sin, no hope of eternal life, and no reason for Christians to celebrate. Jesus' resurrection is a powerful affirmation of God's promises. It confirms that Jesus is who he claimed to be the Son of God and the Saviour of the world.
It also demonstrates the power of God to bring life, even in the most hopeless of circumstances. Just as Jesus was raised from the dead, we too are given the hope of new life, free from the chains of sin and death.
As we celebrate the resurrection, we are reminded that death no longer has power over us. Because Jesus conquered death, we have the hope of eternal life. The resurrection empowers us to live differently-not in fear, but in the freedom and victory that Christ secured for us on the cross and in the grave. Easter calls us to live in the power of the resurrection, embracing the new life Jesus offers.

🔑 Key Lesson: The resurrection of Jesus is the foundation of our faith and the source of our hope for eternal life.

🛐 Meditation and Prayer: Thank you, Jesus, for rising from the dead. Help me to live in the power of your resurrection, with the hope of eternal life.
