📖 MINISTERING WITH HONESTY

1 Thessalonians 2:3-4 (NLT)

📋 It is not enough to serve God; it is crucial to serve him with total integrity. Unfortunately, there are many people who parade themselves as servants of God, but lack integrity. They have various selfish and evil motives.

But praise be to God. who has blessed us with some people who serve him with sincere and honest hearts. Among these was the Apostle Paul, who served the Lord with remarkable truthfulness.

In today's anchor text, he boldly declares: "So you can see we were not preaching with any deceit or impure motives or trickery. For we speak as messengers approved by God to be entrusted with the Good News ..."

He was godly in speech and conduct, reflecting an inner purity of heart. He shunned hypocrisy and smooth talk So he states: "Never once did we try to win you with flattery, as you well know. And God is our witness that we were not pretending to be your friends just to get your money!"

Paul was so sure about his honesty that he even called God as his witness. He was a messenger approved by God to be entrusted with the gospel.
Do you have some impure motives in serving God?

Can you truly say that you are serving God with sincerity and honesty?
