👉🏼 (Reading: Psalm 16:1-11)
📜 ""I say to the LORD, You are my Lord; all the good things I have come from you.""
Psalm 16:2 (GNT)
📋 ""God, our Father is the source of all the good things we have. The Apostle James affirms this when he writes: "Every good gift and every perfect present comes from heaven; it comes down from God, the Creator of the heavenly lights, who does not change or cause darkness by turning" (James 1:17).
In today's focus verse, David acknowledges God as the source of all the good things he has: "I say to the LORD, "You are my Lord; all the good things I have come from you."" We too ought to recognise God as the source of all the benefits we enjoy and remember to always thank and praise him.
We must never think that it is by our own efforts that we have acquired all the good things we have. With all our heart. we need to thank God for all the good things he has bestowed on us. We ought to express our appreciation to God for the wonderful gifts of his only Son and the Holy Spirit.
We must thank him daily for the gift of eternal life, the peace, joy and the hope of glory we have in Christ. We also need to thank him for good health, our spouses, our children, our jobs, our houses, our cars, etc.
Do you acknowledge God as the source of the good things you have?
