Psalm 1:1 (NIV)
📋 Every believer who wants to experience God's blessings must be very careful how they live. The walk of believers determines whether they will be prosperous and successful or miserable and defeated in this life.
Today's focus text describes the walk of the blessed believer: "Blessed is the one who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way that sinners take or sit in the company of mockers."
The Amplified version of the Bible describes the blessed believer as one who is "happy, fortunate, prosperous and enviable."
To be a blessed believer one needs to live with wisdom by setting boundaries for oneself as to what one will do and what one will not do as a Christian.
For instance, blessed believers resolve not to follow the advice of ungodly people. They also decide not to follow the wicked examples of sinners; they say "No" to their evil practices such as giving or receiving bribes.
Besides, they make up their minds never to sit down "to relax and rest where the scornful and the mockers gather" (Amplified Bible). They make this decision because they know that bad company corrupts good character.
Watch your walk with the Lord if you want to enjoy a happy and prosperous life.
