📜 ""You should clothe yourselves instead with the beauty that comes from within, the unfading beauty of a gentle and quiet spirit, which is so precious to God"
1 Peter 3:4 (NLT)
📋 Most woman are concerned about how to look attractive. Young ladies are often spending their time and money on beauty products and the latest fashion because they are in the deception that it is outward beauty that attracts a good man and keeps him.
The Bible does not forbid women dressing elegantly and looking beautiful outwardly but for the Godly woman, outward adornment should always be in moderation and their emphasis should be on the inward adornment, which the Bible refers to as a gentle and quiet spirit, one that is incorruptible or does not fade with age and it is precious to God; something to be desired as God's will for every Christian woman.
To have a gentle and quiet spirit means to be in total submission to God and to one's husband (if married) out of deep trust in God. This translates into you behaving with respect and gentleness and having peace within.
The real question is, what do you depend on to make yourself beautiful?
Instead of spending all the time wearing make-up, or searching social media sites for the latest fashion, spend more time in the presence of God to develop that inner beauty that will be irresistible by every man.
🔑 Key Lesson: A Godly woman's real beauty is not about how she looks but who she is.
🛐 Meditation and Prayer: God, please help me to adorn myself with the gentle and quiet spirit.
