👉🏼 (Reading: Luke 22:1-5)

📜 "Then Satan entered into Judas called Iscariot, who was of the number of the twelve. He went away and conferred with the chief priests and officers how he might betray him to them"
Luke 22:3-4 (ESV).

📋 How did Satan enter Judas of Kerioth (Iscariot)? He became disloyal and started to allow evil thoughts about Jesus to control him. Satan finds a place in us when we entertain evil thoughts and ideas. The phrase “enter into", is an expression for the Greek word eiserchomai, which suggests Satan was on the lookout for an available person to use, then Judas welcomed him.
Judas soon forgot how close he was to Jesus. Judas, by the lure of money, started looking for an opportunity to realise his betrayal plan to arrest Jesus in a secluded place. We must not be available for Satan to use against God and his
people in doing things such as participating in gossip, saying unverified things about people, wishing evil for someone and opposing godly leadership in the church. Are you aware that the devil is prowling around like a lion seeking whom he may devour? Do not become his tool and victim by making room for him. Sin knocks at your door. Do not open your heart for it to enter.
Keep Jesus inside your heart and Satan cannot enter. Do not be like Judas Iscariot.

🔑 Key Lesson: We make room for Satan to use us for evil if we allow his thoughts a place in our minds and hearts.

🛐 Meditation and Prayer: Lord, help me to quickly discern
when Satan wants to find a place in my life so as to resist him.
