👉🏼 (Reading: Psalm 5:1-12)

📜 "But let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy. Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you"
Psalm 5:11 (NIV).

📋 A refuge is a shelter a place of safety. To take refuge in God means making God our place of safety-depending on God for our security. Those who take refuge in God are sure of supernatural protection and deliverance. In today's focus verse, David appeals to God to cause all who take refuge in him to rejoice: "… let all who take refuge in you be glad; let them ever sing for joy.
Spread your protection over them, that those who love your name may rejoice in you. " In Psalm 91:9-10, the Psalmist assures us of protection and safety if we take refuge in God: "if you say, "The LORD is my refuge," and you make the Most High your dwelling, no harm will overtake you, no disaster will come near your tent." The all-powerful God is able to avert any calamity or disaster that our enemies plot against us because he is always watching over lives to keep us from all harm.
In times of trouble, there is hope for all those who have taken refuge in God. David declares: "The LORD helps fthe righteous] and delivers them; he delivers them from the wicked and saves them, because they take refuge in him " (Psalm 37:40). Take refuge in God for your safety.
