The fear of the Lord is not about being scared, but about acknowledging his greatness and submitting to his guidance. When we fear the Lord, we align our hearts with his will, and from that place, wisdom flows. Wisdom is essential for living a godly life. It allows us to navigate life's challenges with discernment, make choices that honour God, and understand the world through his lenses. Wisdom helps us know when to use knowledge. True wisdom comes from knowing God and understanding his word, not from human experience. The more we know God, the more wisdom he gives us. To live wisely, we must start by fearing the Lord. When we place God at the centre of our lives, his wisdom guides every decision. In our world today, many voices compete for our attention, but God's wisdom is far superior.
