Jude 1:9-10 (ESV)
📋 In Jude 1:9-10, we see a striking contrast between Archangel Michael and those who speak arrogantly about spiritual matters they do not understand. Michael, despite his authority, did not dare to bring an accusation against Satan but instead said, "The Lord rebuke you!" Jude then talks about people who slander celestial beings by speaking out of ignorance and pride.
This should be a warning for us today. How often do you speak carelessly about spiritual things that you do not fully understand? We make light of spiritual warfare, dismiss biblical truths, criticize matters not deeply studied or well understood; others tend to casually blame Satan for their struggles and mock spiritual realities not comprehended or hastily condemn leaders, churches, or teachings without seeking wisdom.
In all these, our words can reflect arrogance rather than reverence. Instead of reckless speech, we should humbly approach spiritual matters by seeking God's guidance through his word and prayer.
The safest response to spiritual battles and mysteries is not arrogance but trust, letting God be the judge.
