📋 In our text today, the Apostle Paul draws the Philippian Church's attention to the fact that in spite of all his needs and weaknesses. he can do all things through Christ who gives him strength.
That notwithstanding, if we focus on others and the external world to meet our needs, we are likely to be disappointed. However, if we rely on the Helper, the Holy Spirit, who resides within us, we will never fail to achieve our goals.
As Paul states in our text, "I can do all things through Christ, who strengthens me." Paul recognized that Christ was in him, and all the strength he needed to fulfil his calling came from Christ. Since Christ is in us, we can face every situation. By focusing on Christ, Paul experienced great success in his life and ministry.
Today, everything around us may seem to indicate that we are weak, struggling and failing. But like Paul, we should look up to the Lord. He will provide us with all the strength we need to succeed in life. He will give us all the wisdom grace, power, health and guidance we need to succeed in all our endeavours.
We must trust him and depend on him, and through him, we can accomplish all the things we so desire.
