📜 ""I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin""
Psalm 18:23 (NIV)

📋 Since the fall of man, imperfection has become the order of the day. However, it is God's will for his people to live a blameless life. To live a blameless life, we need to be intentional in resisting sin. This is what David did. He declares: "I have been blameless before him and have kept myself from sin."

We need to imitate David. It is possible for us to keep ourselves from sin. By his divine power, God has provided everything we need as Christians to live holy, righteous and blameless lives in this present evil world (2 Peter 1:3). By his grace, it is possible for all believers "to say 'No' to ungodliness and worldly passions, and to live self-controlled, upright and godly lives in this present age" (Titus 2:12).

This grace is manifest through the working of the Holy Spirit who lives in every believer, enabling us to put to death the misdeeds of our sinful nature (Romans 8:13). The Apostle John affirms this truth in 1 John 3:9: "No one who is born of God will continue to sin, because God's seed remains in them; they cannot go on sinning, because they have been born of God."

You can resist sin by the grace of God.
Ask the Holy Spirit to empower you to say "No" to every temptation to sin.
