📋 Those who want to enjoy the blessings of then Lord must learn to walk in his ways. There are many examples in the Bible of people who kept the ways of the Lord and experienced God's goodness.
For instance, Noah, living in a very perverse generation, chose to live a righteous life and God blessed him: "But Noah found favour in the eyes of the LORD … Noah was a righteous man, blameless among the people of his time, and he walked faithfully with God" (Genesis 6:8-9).
In today's reading, David also testifies about how God blessed him because he kept his ways. He lived a righteous and a blameless life. That's God's way. The ways of Satan and this world include crooked dealings with others: deceiving, lying, cheating, defrauding, etc.
But those who keep God's ways stay away from such dishonest practices. To be able to keep God's ways, we need to know those ways and ask for his empowerment to walk in them. God's ways are revealed in the Bible. So we need to continually read and meditate on the word of God as David did.
In today's focus verse, he declares: "… All his laws are before me; I have not turned away from his decrees."
