📋 It is important to know God's truth and to speak truthfully to others in love.
Speaking the truth in love means being bold, patient and careful to tell it as it is without intending to destroy, hurt or bring the person down. It also suggests avoiding pretence and falsehood.
Our focus verse indicates that when believers speak the truth in love, it builds up others. Such a believer matures into the fullness of Christ, who is the head of the Church.
As Christians who have shed our old nature and embraced Christ's new nature, we must commit to telling the truth in love. Parents should speak honestly to their children at home, and children should do the same with their parents.
In the church, church leaders must be truthful with their members, and members should reciprocate the same gesture towards their leaders. The devil is known as the father of all lies, and those who lie are effectively declaring their alignment with him.
We are called to always speak the truth in love, correcting lovingly and gently, thus helping others to grow into the measure of the stature of Christ. Learn to always speak the truth with a loving heart and attitude.
