👉🏼 (Reading: Psalm 91:1-10)
📜 ""The Lord is my refuge and my fortress, my God, in whom I trust.""
Psalm 91:2 (NIV)
📋 Life is full of challenges-trials, temptations and attacks from the enemy that can make us feel vulnerable and exposed. Yet, in the midst of these challenges, Psalm 91 offers us the assurance that the Lord is our refuge and fortress, a place of safety and protection.
The image of God as a fortress conveys strength, security and unshakable refuge, something we can take shelter in when life's storms rage around us. The psalmist declares that he will trust in God, not in his own strength or abilities, but in God's power and protection.
When we trust in God, we are assured that he will cover us with his wings, shield us from harm, and deliver us from danger. Just as a fortress stands strong and firm, God is our rock and unmovable protector. No matter what dangers or fears we face, we can rest knowing that God is watching over us.
He is not distant or passive; he is actively protecting us, providing for us, and guiding us in every season. Are you feeling exposed or overwhelmed today? Take refuge in God. Trust that he is your fortress, your place of safety.
You do not have to face your fears alone. His protection is available, and in his presence, you will find peace.
🔑 Key Lesson: God is our refuge and fortress, a place of safety and security in times of trouble.
