📋 The names of God in the Bible are mostly proclaimed out of an encounter with the Lord by the Patriarchs. For instance, in today's reading, Hagar who had run away from her madam Sarah, to escape mistreatment, named God, "You are the God who sees me" due ta her encounter with an angel of God.
In the wilderness, the angel of the Lord found her by a fountain of water. He called her by name, and sent her back with the advice to submit to her mistress. The further prophecy about her pregnancy encouraged her to realise that she wasn't hidden from God.
Maybe, you feel alone and unnoticed by people, but just as God saw Hagar, he sees you too. He knows your fears, wounds, and silent prayers; and you are never out of his sight.
He will send strength when you are weak, peace when you are anxious and hope when you are weary. So, take heart. You are not invisible to God, he sees your tears, hears your cries, and knows your heart.
When you feel alone, remember that the same God who met Hagar in the wilderness will meet you in your need.
Dare to trust him today.
