👉🏼 (Reading: Jeremiah 17:6-10)
📋 "Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD, whose trust is the LORD. He is like a tree planted by water, that sends out its roots by the stream, and does not fear when heat comes, for its leaves remain green, and is not anxious in the year of drought, for it does not cease to bear fruit"
Jeremiah 17:7-8 (ESV).
📋 In a very dry season, I visited a farm that was very green. I wondered what the farmer's secret was. I discovered that he had a pipeline that runs underground, pumping water to the plants on a daily basis. How does it feel when God the creator of all things assures you that he is your God and you are his child? The unfailing nature of God makes his people secure. The 34th Psalm says, "Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good! Blessed is the man who takes refuge in him! Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!" (Psalm 34:8-9). As God's children, we are like evergreen trees planted by a water source, so we should have no fear of what lies ahead. Hear again what v.9 says, "Oh, fear the LORD, you his saints, for those who fear him have no lack!" We have the assurance of God's constant provision. Do you believe this? The Lord is your shepherd.
