📜 "No man shall be able to stand before you all the days of your life. Just as I was with Moses, so I will be with you. I will not leave you or forsake you"
Joshua 1:5 (ES).
📋 We are sometimes thrown into confusion and despair when things do not work the way we expect. In our text, Joshua was faced with taking up the job Moses had accepted from God and for forty years, it remained a work in progress. Joshua was left in the middle of the road by Moses' death and as he nursed his pain and confusion, God speaks to him and assures Joshua of his presence in all that he has assigned him. Similarly, Jacob in his fears and strugles while fleeing from Esau, was told by God, "Behold, I am with you and will keep you wherever you go, and will bring you back to this land. For I will not leave you until I have done what I have promised you" (Genesis 28:15, ESV). We must also remember that Jesus Christ has also told us that he will never leave or forsake us. That should assure us that every place and circumstance in which we find ourselves, we shall overcome and be victorious like Joshua. Are you confused and wondering how you are going to make it in your journey of life? Remember that God says, "I will not leave you orforsake you".
