📖 FOLLOW CHRIST AND NEVER LOOK BACK

📖 FOLLOW CHRIST AND NEVER LOOK BACK

👉🏼 (Reading: Acts 21:11-14)

📜 "Then Paul answered, "What are you doing, weeping and breaking my heart? For I am ready not only to be imprisoned but even to die in Jerusalem for the name of the Lord Jesus"
Acts 21:13 (ES).

📋 A hymn by William Cooper says, "God moves in mysterious
ways, his wonders to perform." The fifth stanza, ends with
the words, "His purposes will ripen fast… the bud may have a bitter taste but sweet will be the flower:" We are sometimes too quick to quit. Are we willing to die for our faith in God as the Apostle Paul demonstrated in our text? It was revealed to a prophet among the brethren that it was not safe for Paul to go to Jerusalem. But Paul was convinced that it was God's will for him to go. Sometimes, God will show people what will happen but they may fail in discerning what God's real will is about what he has shown them. Agabus and others saw what was ahead but did not agree with Paul's conviction about going to Jerusalem. However, Paul was not afraid of death nor torture because he knew that God moves in mysterious ways. We must follow Christ even when we do not see his glory now. It shall soon be released and we shall not regret our pains. When you discover God is leading you in a way, keep moving without fear.

🔑 Key Lesson: God's servants must be willing to suffer for his will.

🛐 Meditation and Prayer:Lord, give me the courage to stand for your will even if it brings me some pain.
