👉(Reading: Hebrews 5:6-14)
📜 "For everyone that useth milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness: for he is a babe" Hebrews 5:13 (KJV).
📋 In the body of Christ, there are spiritual infants, much like there are physical babies in the world. Spiritual infants are Christians who have made little effort to grow spiritually after being born again. So, ask yourself: Are you still a baby in the Lord, or have you matured spiritually? According to the focus verse, anyone who "uses" milk is unskilled in the word of righteousness because they are still babies in the Lord. Therefore, your ability to skillfully use the word of righteousness proves that you are not a spiritual infant but an adult in Christ. Righteousness is God's nature in believers, allowing them to have a right standing with God. As a result, God no longer sees them as sinners but as saints. One incredible truth about this gift of righteousness is that we share the same righteousness with God. The word of God is full of teachings on righteousness, and we can grow in the word of righteousness by reading the word and obeying it. As we practise the word, we will become skilled in the word of righteousness. When we become skilled with the word of righteousness, we are no longer babies, but mature believers in the Lord. This maturity is the true measure of spirituality. Are you skilful in the word of righteousness?
