📜 "… Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him.If you seek him, he will be found by you, but if you forsake him, he will forsake you" 2 Chronicles 15:2 (NIV).
📋 One important blessing the Lord promises those who seek him is that they will find him. This good news was conveyed by Azariah to King Asa and his people in today's focus verse: "Listen to me, Asa and all Judah and Benjamin. The Lord is with you when you are with him. If you seek him, he will be found by you," . It is God's desire that his children will seek him faithfully in all generations because he loves to fellowship with them. Hence, the timeless promise that when we seek him, we will find him. There are some other blessings we receive in seeking the Lord faithfully. One is that we experience God's peace and protection. This kind of peace includes the experience of forgiveness, a clear conscience and a sense of well-being. All this comes from a right relationship with God (Isaiah 26:3). Those who seek the Lord also receive mercy and grace to help them in times of need. They experience God's presence in a powerful way. Under the New Covenant, which God has provided for those who accept Christ's forgiveness and follow his leadership, God's presence provides power, comfort, and produces godly character in those who seek him (John 15:26-27). Seek the Lord faithfully for his blessings.
