👉🏼 (Reading:2 Kings 6: 12-18)
📜 "Don't be afraid, 'the prophet answered. Those who are with us are more than those who are with them"
2 Kings 6:16 (NIV).
📋 One great blessing we enjoy from our God in times of intended attacks on our lives is angelic presence and defence. Our focus verse is an answer by Prophet Elisha to his servant's question: "Oh, my lord, what shall we do?" This was after the servant had seen an army with horses and chariots surrounding their city. It is clear from the focus text that an unseen spiritual realm exists - a world every bit as real as we can see, hear and feel in the physical world. It consists of a countless multitude of ministering angels who are active in the lives of God's people (Genesis 32:1-2). This implies that not only is God himself active in people's lives but also armies of his angels stand by, ready to assist and defend God's people and God's purposes. All Bible-believing Christians should therefore continually pray that God would protect them from spiritual blindness. Our spiritual eyes should be wide open to what God is doing in the world and what he desires to accomplish through his people. Let us be aware that God's ministering spirits are always near, observing the actions and faith of God's people and working on their behalf. This, however, does not encourage us to worship angels. Continue to trust in God and he will send his angels to help you in your time of need.
🔑 Key Lesson:God at times sends his angels to assist us in our difficulties.
🛐 Meditation and Prayer:Lord, let your angels fight my battles.
